ABOUT US

Miquela Fiori - Owner

Originally from San Diego, Miquela has always been drawn to the connection between people, community, and good conversation. After earning her degree in Psychology from USC, she found her true calling in hospitality - a field where she could combine her love of social connection and her creative energy.

In 2016, Miquela's family opened Idyllwild Brewpub, bringing craft beer and delicious bites to the heart of the mountain town of Idyllwild. Building on that success, she launched Idyllwild Tavern, a neighborhood spot designed to feel like an extension of home - a place where locals can unwind with great food, drinks, and atmosphere.

Now living in Toluca Lake with her fiancé Mike and their dogs Moose and Birdie, Miquela continues to pour her heart into creating spaces that bring people together.

Rob Noyola - General Manager

Rob has been at the heart of some of Los Angeles’ most influential bar programs. He opened and managed Oy Bar, helping shape its acclaimed cocktail identity and restaurant prowess. Rob was part of the opening teams for Accomplice Bar, Bibo Ergo Sum, and Bavel - each known for pushing the boundaries of L.A.’s dining and drinking scene.

With years of hands-on experience and a deep passion for hospitality, Rob brings creative vision, operational expertise, and a love for building vibrant neighborhood spaces to Idyllwild Tavern.

Jayden Canady - Chef

Chef Jay brings both skill and soul to the kitchen at Idyllwild Tavern. A competitor on Hell’s Kitchen, Jay has cooked in top kitchens like Bouchon Las Vegas, known for its classic French technique, and Atlantic Fish & Chophouse, where he perfected his love for seafood and steaks.

Jay’s earliest inspiration came from his grandfather, James Canady, who filled the house with the rich, comforting aromas of homemade Soul Food. That legacy lives on in Jay’s cooking today, blending refined culinary training with bold, heartfelt flavors that feel like home.

Alex Zarate - Bar Manager

Born and raised in East Los Angeles, Alex Zarate brings both deep local roots and serious cocktail chops to Idyllwild Tavern’s bar program. Alex most recently managed the acclaimed bar program at Oy Bar, where he helped shape one of L.A.’s standout beverage experiences. He developed his craft and technique at Bibo Ergo Sum, known for its refined, cinematic cocktail approach, and cut his teeth behind the stick at high-volume spots like Slipperclutch and Chatterbox.

Alex’s style blends technical precision with a warm, approachable vibe, creating drinks that are as thoughtful as they are fun to enjoy.
